It's also getting annoying that Rivi, a presumably tough litigator, is letting a client walk all over her. He calls her in the evening and demands to meet with her face to face in an hour? Not realistic at all. He texts her throughout weekends and she's expected to respond each time? Also not realistic.

Anyone else see the vase that Rivi just gave to Suri as being significant? I predict the bad guys who were following Gabe and were in the house were really after that vase all along and now Suri has it.

Yes 100% I think it’s significant otherwise it would not be mentioned in the story.

Wow, I totally didn't think of that but it makes so much sense.

Here's my theory:

The picture that they found (as someone mentioned, seemed like the deathly hallows from Harry Potter) was some ancient and very valuable thing that Abba and the real Avigdor found - maybe it's hidden in the vase! And that's why the bad guys are after them, they want that item. It was only known that Abba found it, Avigdor was sick and he told Abba to take over his identity in order to protect himself from the bad ppl who would chase after him in order to get that item.

Also, side note, Rivi's shalom bayis is making me so sad. I wish she would just open up to her husband, I'm dreading when he finds out about all this and gets mad that she never said anything.

Something to do with the medal and the choshen stone. I called it last week lol.
She was looking at it and all the sparkly gemstones in it or something.

Another theory, Rivi will feel unfulfilled after Boyd's case and will join some non-profit as a lawyer or something more low key and will spend more time with her family and less time working

Interesting... I'm just thinking, why is Rivi doing that to herself?

I think he'll just be incredibly sad.
Wouldn't have Rivi have heard something in the vase? Or seen it if it's stuffed in to the point where it's not making noise?

For the first time I feel like Boyd is part of this all somehow. Or knowing him will lead somewhere

I find it odd that Gabe the adult brother is still living with them and seems involved (also uncomfortable) in their marriage.

Why is it odd?

Yes it's taking them a mighty long time to clean out that house so he can go back to the Amazon already

It's gotta be significant cuz it's mentioned in the summary as "the vase"...

Actually I think he's really good for them at the moment and is helping keeping things from exploding.
Also did it ever say why he broke off the engagement? Do you think he was threatened?

I don't think so. I think he felt threatened (not by some evil external force) and was unable to commit.

Still, in real life it would be a weird dynamic.

I dont think his being there is good or bad, it is what it is, he has no other place to be as long as he doesnt return to the Amazon where he came from. His sister and bil are gracious enough to allow him to stay by them without it impinging on their lives too much (guest bedroom...), I assume they like having him around, and havent read one word to the contrary. Perhaps they are hoping he will return to "normal" life after getting the Amazon thing out of his system, and see the benefits of their lifestyle.
Honestly, he could stay alone in his fathers home.
And yes, its taking a ton of time to clean out, but thats not unusual. Depends on what level hoarding was done in the home. Lesson for us all.

I disagree. Forget cleaning out the house, I've seen many scenarios where an unmarried or divorced sibling moves in with a married + kids sibling for an extended period of time, sometimes even months.

And why not? If they are in a place where they are figuring out their life or want a change of scenery or are visiting another country, it's nice to be around your neices and nephews and live with family for a bit.

If you have a guest room, private bathroom, and a larger house (they have an upstairs so not an apartment) there's plenty of room for privacy. It's sounds like the kids don't go to bed at 6/7pm each night and with Rivi's job as well, it seems like it's not like intimate couple dinners are on the table.
