I’m traveling alone with DH. We have to stop in Far Rockaway to take care of something around dinner time. I would love to go somewhere special. My friends have told me about Doma and it sounds perfect. I’m just worried because DH doesn’t enjoy when we go to “cooler” places. He gets bothered by the music and the whole vibe in some of the newer restaurants. Has anyone gone there who can chime in to let me know what it’s like there? Or any recommendations for places in the area that have good food?

I was there a few years ago and I remember the food being really good. I don’t remember there being loud music.

I’ve been there multiple times and can’t say I’ve ever noticed the music but that could be me. It’s not actually new or specifically cool, it’s a solid good place. Good service and delicious food every time..

Thank you for all the responses. Should we try? I want DH to be comfortable. We do not go out to eat often but will go to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. To give context he likes places like Entrée in Lakewood.
