I say, if you have the space, for sure queen, in terms of space, why not.
But do keep in mind, mattresses and linen will cost more, but I still feel its worth it and you're not buying linen everyday.

We had 48 dh wanted to upgrade to full when we moved. I was against it it’s fine I said.
Now that we have full I’m enjoying it the most and say it’s the best thing we did in the house lol.
I can sleep with my toddler or husband not touching me but close (I have it pushed against the wall?

new york city apartments are not big. if you have more than 2 twins, you are sacrificing space that could be used for walking around or other furniture.
