Sourdough Donuts?

I'm in my sourdough era Wink and am obsessed with the idea of making sourdough donuts for Chanukah.

Anybody every tried this? I'm curious if it will have a strong flavor and possibly throw off the sweetness.

Anything made of sourdough is always tastier IMHO.

The Ami magazine had a recipe this week for sourdough donuts. I don’t think you will feel the sourness if it has a sweet filling.
I recently made sourdough cinnamon buns and it doesn’t taste sour at all. And the recipe called for 400 gram of starter!

My pleasure! Let me know how it works out. I’m on a different doughnut project this year but these have been on the backburner for a while. Iyh next year

I made them. They're absolutely delicious but a little on the denser side. Not soft and spongey like bakery donuts. The flavor is amazing though!

Just want to add that it's possible I over/under proofed, hence the density.
