My ds 7 came home with fever. Unless he miraculously gets better tomorrow, what do I do with him Thursday when my 3 yo has a mommy and me chanukah program? Everyone in my family healthy enough to watch a sick kid has a job to attend. I wfh, no babysitters.

A nice neighbor or mom or mil or siblings idk there has to be someone who can watch him
It’s a really a big deal for them you can’t miss it
I already had mine with my dd and the way her face lit up when I walked in the room… says a lot more than words can describe

What do you mean by "no babysitters"? Do you mean that you don't have a babysitter or that you don't want a babysitter

I've asked a neighbor to watch a kid for little while I walked over a sibling to Morah. I worked from home with the sick kid but didn't want to have both home or I'd never get any computer work done.

I would totally ask a friend or neighbor in your case. I'd try to come the latest possible and leave soonest so not to take advantage.
Worst case I'd call my mother or father and drop the kid off at their office for a little bit.

Give him something to watch, put a phone next to him, make sure he knows your phone number, and viola. It’ll be fine.
