This is why I find it hard to have any logical conversations with Satmar.
I'd also love to understand how come Satmar is allowed to find flaws in every single other Jewish sect while actively whitewashing how their administration is going against what the DY said.

I’m not whitewashing anything. If there’d be a shred of proof I’d be the first to condemn it. I just don’t know of any such instance. What I do know is how the WhatsApp groups erupt if kids aren’t allowed into daycamp or report cards aren’t released.

Satmar doesn’t send home for non-payment. Unless this happened a long time ago, not sure how they operated back then.

Years ago, satmar bp made the kids whose parents were behind in payment, sit downstairs in the lunchroom. And , no, it wasn't parentscwho didn't communicate,. It was poor parents who had a hard time paying utility bills.

As far as I know, it doesn't happen nowadays. But, it did happen 40 years ago and earlier. Personal experience.

And while it's true they didn't send us home, trust me, sending us home would have been kinder

They fundraise a ton like the previous poster wrote. Majority of Williamsburg are on vouchers. They don't give breaks. If you can't pay they'll try their best go get you on vouchers. It's only these few that are not on vouchers that you are making the calculation from but those are usually the ones who are donating as well. So yes your calculations makes sense if it included only tuition. And if they got this measley tuition from majority of parents. And this is also only cheider. Yeshivah is not cheap at all. Why not? What's the difference? Oh cause there's no vouchers for that age...

I am from the generation prior to vouchers. Yeshiva tuition was always way more expensive than cheder. However, payroll for yeshiva always was way higher too
