Onion garlic celery carrots squash sweet potato (butternut squash optional). Saute.
Add barley and red lentils.
Salt, pepper, cumin
Water.
Cook for 3 hours.
Delicious as blended and chunky

Forgot there's usually parsnip in there as well

Sauté onion and garlic
Add peeled, diced carrots, potatoes, sweet potato, zucchini, celery, parsnip
Salt, pepper to taste
Cook for an hour or two covered
Blend halfway

Do you put in the fresh dill and parsley? Or do you use dried instead?

Always fresh but im sure you can play around with the ing. you have at home
