6 year olds love building and using their creativity. So Lego, blocks, Playmobil, train tracks

Can someone post good Lego or Playmobil sets for under $30 (tried and true). If the instructions Arents clear, he has a hard time building it. is the Lego brand instructions the best?

My sons class is into cards. Izzy and Dizzy, gedolim, top trump cards, for heavens sake the stupid promotional cards businesses leave at your door.
A kid brought in a maze ball recently and now he wants one.
My son likes lego but I don't know if he actually does it himself bec he shares with his sister. Look for 5+ on the box.
