This is such an important post.
So many people told me "It'll grow on you" I decided to believe them.
Not only were those people 100% wrong it affected my bonding with her the first year or two. Now I can separate the name and the child but it was really really hard.
I always want to tell these "helpful" people to STOP!! You DO NOT KNOW THAT IT WILL GROW ON THE PERSON SO STOP SPOUTING NONSENSE. It is damaging.
