Why don't we start at where the name is actually coming from? Rivka Imeinu was chosen as Yitzchok's bride because she was a baales chesed and had a good heart. Doesn't seem obnoxious to me at all.

I taught a class one year where the most respectful, soft-spoken, aidel, sweet, conscientious girl was a Rivkah. The happiest smiliest friendliest nicest girl in dd's class is Rivky.

This thread among the other recent threads about girls names are the strangest things I’ve seen. These are names from Tanach! There is no way to make sweeping statements about all people with a very common name like Rivka !

I know people with that name that are nice and kind and generous and people with that name that are mean. people with other names that are mean people other names that are nice kind and generous.

But a blanket unsupported statement like that is absolute utter ridiculous foolishness! Somebody’s been very bored or has an agenda against Jewish girls names lol
