Well.. they could only do that if op told them who the pediatrician is…
And it’s not like the pediatrician did something horrible…. She did diagnose a uti and did treat for it…. And she did say that if the antibiotics weren’t kicking in she would do something else.
BH the strong antibiotics through iv seem to be effective and this little girl will feel better and her mother can go home and get some sleep….

I am so happy to hear the progress bh! Regarding the pediatrician that's a no no. Even if you "like" the Dr. I would feel the nonchalant attitude is something to pay attention to. Maybe Hashem gave this as an opening to look into other options.
At the very least have a frank conversation about it with this original dr. Communication is everything. Much bracha and Hatzlacha you are amazing!

It's no joke. In adrenaline mode situations I cope well and then boy do I crash. I'm a patient for a week. Fever and all. Almost always. I'm petrified for myself. We have a family simcha next week and I better behave.

Years ago I had similar story . Dd landed in er for a uti. Dr also didnt take us seriously. He was supposed to be top pediatrician.
But after that story I switched out of that practice. They had moved far from my house and it was a factory so this made me switch.

Since the hospital Dr is treating this patient effectively, I think op can just ask what he/she thinks about her pediatrician and if this would be a reason to switch.
It’s possible that the dr might say that it’s not so alarming.
It’s not like the BP pediatrician completely dismissed the patient. She did test her, treat her and said to come back in a few days if no improvement. She probably also said to bring her back if the fever gets very high.

High fever is not indicative of a sicker patient. It's only an issue of its high enough to cause brain damage (I think above 106)
The issue is more that the fever didn't break for so long

Yes. I have some kids that will get a cold with a hundred three and I have kids that have had covid and the flu for a week with no fever at all. You need to keep an eye on their behavior to look for a dehydration or lethargy and also like you said, how long the fever is going on.

I'm glad OPs daughter is on the mend! There's definitely a certain peace in knowing exactly what is going on and seeing them start to feel better.
