OP, it's not gross. It is *inappropriate*.

Do it in your bedroom not on the street |
Sorry to tell you in a condescending way but you need to broaden your vocabulary.
Kissing isn't gross. It is clearly written in tehilim (פרק פה).
There is a time and place for everything.

It's not really a big deal. It's life, you can't prevent seeing it.

It's a interesting because if you are a young girl and don't know these things happen by us, I would understand your severe reaction. If you are married and know these things then just giving a kiss shouldn't be that bad unless it was more than that. And you were afraid next step they're stripping in front of you. Was it because you didn't want your kids to see?

There's a difference between just regular PDA and exhibitionism. Exhibitionism is gross because it's deliberately involving the viewer without their consent, even if it's a very mild display.

I think people are overlooking the boldest part.
It sounds like this couple put on a display to deliberately provoke OP. As in, let's kiss in front of this modest Orthodox woman and her sheltered kids just to freak her out.
If that is indeed the case, it is very obnoxious.

Big deal honestly , time to grow up.

Op just said they looked at her . It’s not clear they did it on purpose. Maybe they looked at her because they suddenly realized she was there and felt awkward so they walked away . If shes sure they did it on purpose then their behavior was obnoxious. But gross is really not a good word to describe it .

I’m married a long time and am not so sheltered and when a couple was leaning against a large electrical box in the street with the man’s hand visibly in the woman’s private area, I was completely grossed out. Everyone can do what they want in the privacy of their own home, but I should not have to look at it. Of course I looked away, but you can only look away once you’ve seen it. And full on kissing, which I assume we are talking about here, not a peck, is not something I am interested in seeing, let alone have my children see. I completely empathize, OP.

You mean you live in a *very religious* Jewish area, right?
Tel Aviv is a very Jewish area and in that city you'll be glad it's a man and a woman kissing publicly and not two men or to women.

That's awful for her to need to see. People kissing outside is not. |
I think that's even illegal in some places.

The average Joe (and his partner Jane) have absolutely no idea that Orthodox people don’t kiss or even hold hands in public. I was secular Jewish for decades before I found out, when I became a BT. A display? I’d say they were feeling amorous and took the opportunity for a big kiss. You can’t expect non religious people to know what other religions and cultures find acceptable.

My mother kept whispering to my father to just ‘step on the gas, get out of here!’, but there were cars in front of us going SLOOOW. |
Haha why did this make me laugh so hard!
They say in the olden days every kid knew the mechanics of s+x because they grew up raising animals in their backyards and there was no way to miss it.
