I was thinking about that. Can I just walk in? How? To radiology? Or to to the er?
Just spoke to chaim medical. I dialed the emergency number. I didn't eat all week already. I have to call back tomorrow.
103 fever for close to a week is not. My brain is going to bladder or kidney c---

Go to Colombia er. They’re the best and will get you diagnosed. It’s long and annoying but it’s the next step when the doc doesn’t have answers.

I guess I'm wrong. I have a kid on bactrim since march and he still gets sick. I guess he gets hit with viruses as opposed to bacteria

You can just walk into the pediatric ER and list symptoms. They’ll start with basic bloodwork, urine culture, viral panel etc.
Come prepared with dates of when everything started, medication and dosage taken, etc.
If it’s all UTI related, you’ll need a specialist. But the EE can probably do a VCUG or abdominal US if they think it’s warranted.

OP, is the fever going down with Tylenol & metring? If so, give throughout the night & take the child to the doctor tomorrow morning & insist on blood work & a thorough work up.
Maybe you can get an appointment at a better pediatrician for tomorrow. If you post where you live, maybe we can help.

If you need a urologist, Dr stock in mt Sinai is excellent. I've had multiple ultrasounds and tests done in mt Sinai for my child.

Google aside, bactrim is not generally the medicine of choice used to treat pneumonia.
That would normally be antibiotics like zithromax or augmentin.
Does your child have any upper respiratory symptoms?
I agree that the child continuing with fever more than 48-72 hours on antibiotics is not normal and I would be concerned.
I would try to find another pediatricians opinion before going to the ED where you will wait for hours and hours and pick up many other germs.
I would stay away from urgent cares who are normally staffed with inexperienced PAs and NPs.
(Nurse, worked in pediatrics for years)

I spoke to chaim medical. They told me to call back tomorrow. Let's see what happens. Meanwhile I'm pacing the floors and can't relax.
Someone mentioned kidney reflux, does that come with fever of 103 for a week? She's on meds for the uti; so the meds isn't helping because there's kidney reflux?

I don't have one another one.
Child tested positive for metapneumovirus end of last week but cough and runny nose are mostly gone already.
