There is no fast way to become an OT. It's a long, grueling, difficult degree. You will spend tons of time away from you family so you can attend classes, study for exams, write papers, and do hundreds of hours of field work.
You will also need to take out close to 100k in student loans for tuition
Look if this has always been a dream of yours and you are super passionate about it then do it.
But don't do it for the sake of parnassah. Not worth it

Downstate is cheaper but it’s very hard to get into. They don’t accept many applicants. Most programs are not that big.
Touro and I think LIU has a joint program that may be quicker if you do the minimum prerequisites.

Well OP said she wants the fastest way. State programs are definitely not fast.
Even the jewish programs are not "fast." Maybe they figured out a way to shorten it by one semester or so, but any way you slice it it's gonna take years. It's not the kind of degree you can get in 18 months.

I just heard from my son’s OT that the new requirements for the class of 2027 is to go for a doctorate in OT (so a masters is not enough anymore officially). Not that the content is different but the requirements (and loans) are more expensive.

I just went to downstate awhile ago and couldn't believe it cost so much now, that's why I asked but yeah it wasn't s huge program.
