My family member is looking into Passaic to be close to their new job. They are strictly frum, middle of the road orthodox, but in no sense yeshivish. Which shul would be considered the least yeshivish of the Passaic shuls?
They would be looking to rent an apartment so it would need to be within say 1.5 miles of some apartments too.

There’s least yeshivish and modern orthodox- those are two different things. Which one is he looking for?
(I live in Passaic)

The best would be plain orthodox, as in not yeshivish. Does that exist?

We are members of young Israel of passaic Clifton. There is a mix of MO, right wing MO, and just not yeshivish but very frum pple there. There are shabbos groups for kids and it has a warm and welcoming vibe. It’s also low key, no need to dress up to the nines for shul and no one stares at you when you walk in.

I’ve lived in Lakewood, and now Passaic. It’s different.
Most of Passaic is JPF- there are yeshivish parts, and yeshivish shuls, but it’s not the majority.
He’d likely be fine in most areas, finding a minyan that he’s comfortable in.

Another vote for the Young Israel. It’s a mix of people - everyone feels welcome. A warm Shul that tries to engage the whole family - with learning, Davening and programming. We love it.
