The Lubavitcher Rebbe once asked the Chassidim what time davening would begin. The reply was that they would begin around 10:00 or 10:15. The Rebbe answered, "Which one is it? 10:00 or 10:15? Do you know how much I can accomplish in fifteen minutes!"

Heard this story from Rabbi Frand.
A bochur in yeshiva kept coming late for Shacharis, despite many reminders to come on time. Finally, the mashgiach called him in and berated him harshly for always being late. When he finished, he said, "So, tomorrow morning, will you be on time for Shacharis?"
The bochur mumbled , "Im yirtze Hashem"
The mashgiach thundered, "What Im yirtze Hashem?! Im yirtze atah! You know what Hashem wants! Why are you blaming it on Hashem. If YOU want to be on time, you will be on time. "

The Chazon Ish was once asked to join a minyan for mincha. He arrived at the place but there weren't ten men. They waited while more men arrived. Finally when the tenth man came, the Chazon ish apologized and said he had to leave. He had an appointment and he couldn't be late. He said that when I agreed to the appointment, I gave my word and and it would be a sheker to arrive late.

There was a man who was perpetually late for shacharis. Usually by about 15 minutes. The Rav tried to speak to him, but he said, “What difference does 15 minutes make?”
Then one day, a fire broke out in this man’s factory. He called the fire department and desperately waited. As the minutes ticked by, he watched more and more of his factory disappear.
Finally the fire truck showed up. The man asked the firemen, “What took you so long? I called for help 15 minutes ago!!”
The fireman responded, “What difference does 15 minutes make?”
