You can also get any toy like mentchies, blocks etc at this age they love unpacking stuff and such toys will last through the next few stages.

Fisher price little people, toy cars, play food, any kind of sorting/shape sorter toy, bath toys, magnatile sets, duplo, pull back cars (ones that are made for toddlers to be able to do), play animals, toy tools- especially hammers, etc etc. the best toys are the ones they can use now and also continue to use when they get bigger.

If the kid can walk holding into something, a baby shopping cart was a HUGE hit for my daughter. At that age she also started to take interest in dolls and plush toys.

Yes this is the dump truck I was referring to in above post. My son absolutely loved it around that age.
