I really want to get my baby some Montessori style toys but they’re really expensive. Baby seems to gravitate more toward those than the light up kind of toys and can play with them for a long time
Does anyone have any cheaper options or toys that are like it, that stimulate the brain and all that

It requires you to do more of the work. And think backwards.

Anything labeled Montessori might be more expensive, but you can find similar things cheaper.

BTW, the true Montessori style toys are actually household objects. Pots pans cups. Boxes. Step stools.

What does Montessori mean to you? True Montessori doesn't require the beautiful expensive toys, though it definitely helps! It may be worth it to invest in a few high quality pieces and the rest you can get cheaper versions or make your own. Also learning Montessori philosophy will help you find the right items without breaking the bank (cough Lovevery cough cough - though I love them haha).

I have some lovevery stuff but I've also made my own with household items based on other lovevery toys. My son enjoyed them all equally whether it was the expensive real thing or the homemade replica. Ex. Instead of the lovevery box with holes on the top that you push sticks in, use an empty spice container with q-tips to put in the holes. He'd easily spend 20 minutes on that.
