Did you get a larger one as your family grew?
I’m still using the same smallish one since I got married (over 10 years) and I just realised that’s probably makes no sense.

I wash laundry every other day and keep a compact one in each bedroom and one downstairs for anyone showering or changing there. I think the size of your laundry basket also depends on how often you wash.

Laundry basket or hamper? Hper we always had two large ones. Colored and white . So same as family grew just now wash waaay more often.
Laundry basket for clean laundry never owned until it got to point I couldn't Carry all the laundry from dryer without dropping it all over and purchased a large clapsible one

lol hamper- in the uk and we call it laundry basket and the ones for clean laundry are also laundry basket 😆

We have a sorter hamper in our room (for whites vs delicates vs white shirts etc), and then a huge one in the hallway for kids clothes that all their weekday clothes go in (Shabbos goes in my hamper with delicate). It holds about 2.5 loads of laundry, and if it’s getting near full, I need to do laundry.

We have one regular size in the bathroom for DH, myself and the house stuff like towels, bedding etc.
And a nice one in the kids room for the kids, that use to be a tiny one but by my second or 3rd kid upgraded to a medium one.
We just got a small net hamper that hangs for shmattes, it use to just end up a mess coz never wanted to put it in regular hamper. BH found the perfect thing on AliExpress.
