Building a laundry room and storage ( one big room)
How much room to make sure I have for folding, hanging, what systems are simple and easy and workin your home? Up until now I have not had a laundry room and we used our kitchen table and floor for sorting and such.
What are your must haves in laundry rooms/storage?

I found looking at Instagram closet companies pictures were helpful with ideas. Also houzz laundry rooms.
I have 2 stacking washer dryer sets. A sink to the side, so a longer counter for folding and ironing. As opposed to sink in the middle and 2 smaller counter spaces on each side. 5 hampers, they pull out like A draw from under the counter. The cabinet above the sink has rods to hang wet clothes that drip into the sink. 2 upper cabinets for storing cleaning supplies, detergent, etc. a rod above counter space to hang short length clothes. Another rod behind the laundry room door for long hanging clothes.
I’ve seen draws for flat folded clothes to dry. I didn’t have room for that but looks amazing. I’ve also seen storage space for laundry baskets, like 4 in a row., for folded clothes. I didn’t have room for that either, I just keep the basket on the counter. Also a space to fold and store an ironing board

Whatever you decide definitely include lots of hanging rods.
My parents have an amazing laundry room and on one wall they have two layers of rods for hanging things to dry. They keep a box fan there but if you have a bigger budget a vent fan (or something else built in) facing the rods would be amazing.
A counter is also great to have with a large sink for hand washing etc
