Help! Middle of the road sem

The most recent course catalog for Midreshet Tehilla doesn't show a single class where they learn gemara inside. There are a handful of courses where they include gemara, mishna on source sheets and handouts, but that doesn't count as "learning gemara" to anyone who knows what they're talking about.

I'm sure Michlalah and even BY's sometimes include photocopied excerpts of gemaras where relevant.

P.S. Sometimes people will intentionally misleadingly present this sort of thing as "Yes we learn gemara" when they perceive that the person asking wants to be told that gemara is offered. Not saying that MT would do this, but maybe someone trying to convince a girl to go there would say this if they thought it would help.

Shaalvim for Women offers only one "gemara" course, and even that course seems to be very watered-down. Based purely on the description, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a series of shiurim on practical halacha with photocopies and source sheets. If "learning gemara" your husband's main red line, he may not have a problem with this.

My daughter is also considering darchei binah
And is wondering how the school can just change their philosophy overnight.
Meaning I bet girls will still bring smart phones and either bring it out once they see that others do.
Or leave at a friend's.
Michlala is close enough to leave it there.

All these bais yaakov lite places like machon raaya or bnos avigail.. I'm betting that there are girls who still bring their smart phones along.

I didn't read further into the thread but I did this not that many years ago! BUt it was considered weird. I think machon raaya didn't accept me because I applied to MMY so there's that..
I haven't heard this darchei binah update so I'm a bit confused, sounds like a chaval. Who are they trying to cater to now?

Btw, I ended up in michlalah and was very happy. Like your daughter, one main concern about it was that it's too big. But they have a pretty good system. Girls find their place despite it being big.

A girl wanting to be able send and get pics from her family is absolutely normal.

Also yes where are the modern yeshivish options that allow this? Why is there gemara everywhere? Midreshet Tehila has now??

MMY might be okay - I went 15 years ago. I would say it’s a step below Michlalah hashkafa wise. Most girls are the strong girls coming out or the all girls MO schools. I came from coed.

There is optional Gemara. They do have some more right wing teachers and Dati Leumi. It’s Zionist but feel like they don’t push a hashkafa - really up for the girl to decide her own derech. Me and my close friends who went there all send our kids to BY now - not the typical route, but def not abnormal either.

Midreshet Tehilla might also be worth looking into.

DD is in Sharfman's now and she is definitely not OTD. Great sem and DD and her friends are happy there.

Midreshet Tehilla - is also very nice
Michlalah - is great, but very academic, I had daughter there few years back

I don’t want her to feel like the place where she is finding her Hashkafah shouldn’t allow her to have phone/ her to feel need to sneak. I hope this made sense

My daughter is in Sharfmans this year as well.
We are RWMO, and she went to a RWMO high school. She is by no means a party girl, and while there are some girls there that are, she has definitely found her people who are wholesome girls who want to grow.
My daughter loves learning Torah but is not academic , which made Sharfmans a good fit.
She also applied to Tiferet, but we heard that Sharfmans is a very warm and supportive place , which is what she needs.
