Maor?

I was going to suggest DB. I went there a bunch of years ago. They sent out an email that they are changing to a BY but practically what is changing? Maybe it’s still a good fit? It’s probably still the same teachers and hashkafos

As someone who works in a middle of the road high school it really is a problem. Tomer Devorah, Midreshet Tehila, Michlala and Sharfmans are all non Bais Yaakov, allow smartphones and don't learn Gemara. MMY is more modern orthodox.

Very very frum and MO are not a contradiction - and I say that as a yeshivish person who has no stake in this:) A girl who goes to MMY can be very frum but also be MO hashkafically

Agreed. Would a girl apply to machon Raaya, MMY, and Michlala

Girls apply to both MMY and Michlala and girls apply to both Machon Raaya and Michlala, but MMY and Machon Raaya are too far apart from each other hashkafically to apply to both

Huh? Since when? There's no way. The ppl in charge would definitely not be into that. Did that change recently??

MMY learns gemara but I think it may be optional, I'm not 100% sure

It’s a Gemara track so technically optional

The vast majority of girls at Michael's most certainly do not have boyfriends or party. It's a really serious school for relaly wholesome girls. In the modern world it's considered almost a by. They are defiantly not partying. If you aren't by anyway then also consider shalavim for girls. Mmy is also strong and not partyers at all . Neither is shalavim. But mmy does teach Gemara

I know michlala is very serious and not partyers I was talking about tomer devorah Bec I mentioned it to my daughter and she said it’s a party school so I want to get more info as to if it actually is. MMY, michlala, and shalavim are all solid options just MMY and shalavim may be too MO as my hubby wont be happy w her in an MO place. I’m more MO than he is. He is CC.

Are you sure about that? I would double check it. I'm involved in seminary world and Midreshet Tehila is more to the right of MMY and MidMo.
Girls often applied to Darchei Binah & Midreshet Tehila

If she's a solid BY girl why would you risk sending her to a sem that's not suited to her? Do you have a friend in Israel that she can leave her smart phone by?
Shell gain so much more in an open minded BY sem
I wouid suggest Machon Raaya, Machon Sara, Bnos Avigail..
Hatzlocha!!
