Don't have a responsible male adult to talk to my teen son.
Have a well visit coming up. Is it ok to ask the pediatrician to talk to him? How do I bring it up? Call in advance or at the appointment?
I assume I should leave the room so son can feel comfortable asking questions?

This sounds like a great idea. I would schedule a phone meeting with the doctor in advance of your childs appointment so you can discuss with him.

My son once had a mild issue in his private area, he was maybe 11 or so. My husband wasn’t comfortable checking, so we took him to a same day appointment to our pediatrician. As they were there, Dr asked my husband privately if he wanted us to give mt son a talk, and my husband very very happily said yes. He quickly asked us how far we wanted him to go as far as topics discussed, and that was that. He messaged my husband later on that night that my son asked some questions, seemed comfortable etc. was a great experience.
