I'd assume you wouldn't call these "frum" novels as they aren't sold in any seforim stores. I haven't read them but I wouldn't recommend them to someone who doesn't read secular books based on the review and the reviewers.

Would also love to hear short stories ones that are well written and with depth. Sometimes it's easier short stories than a novel

Henye Meyer is an incredible writer.
I especially loved Who is like Your People
It's set in the 1100s in Bagdad and nearby areas

I second Sun Inside Rain it is by far the best book I have read. I have reread it many times the author is so gifted I wish she would write more books.

I can never stop reading this book.. read it in 9th grade and im hooked!

Until this thread, I didn't know there were more than 2. I went on amazon and saw a third. But someone mentioned a 4th. Which is the one you just read?
(I loved the 2 I read).
By the way, this thread is like a who's who of my favorite authors!
But I never tried M. Kenan - now I'm going to try it!
