I’m not here to trigger anyone so please skip if that’s you.

How do you set a schedule for your cleaning help?

I work pretty much full time and bH have little ones. I want my house clean and tidy for my sanity.

I’m having a hard time getting / setting a schedule and responsibilities for my cleaning help.

Anyone have tips / ideas / resources that can potentially help?

How often do you have cleaning help ? How many hours ? How many hours do you work ?

To set a cleaning schedule, start by identifying high-priority areas like the kitchen and bathrooms, and decide how often each area needs attention. Create a clear checklist for your cleaner, dividing tasks into routine (e.g., dusting, vacuuming) and deep-cleaning (e.g., washing windows, appliances). Set a regular cleaning day and time that works for you, and adjust as needed.

Depending on how many days/hours you have cleaning help and what you would like them to do.

Here are some ideas.
3 days per week:
1 day where the entire house is cleaned - create a list where you go into detail abt what needs to be done in each room
1 day for basic cleanup + laundry
1 day for full house cleaning + bedding, towels n extras

Do you want help with food prep in the kitchen? That needs to be spelled out very precisely in the language they speak. More than cleaning because I find that we tend to be very particular with our food.

If you have help less often, consider consolidating the above.
If you have help more often consider a day for basic cleanup + deep cleaning one area of the house at a time.
If you prefer, you can split laundry duties so that it’s done each day of week instead of once a week.

P.s. I think it would be a great business idea for someone to come into our home, establish a proper schedule and teach it to our help. It would make hiring help so much less stressful.

I would totally pay for that service.

Regarding the schedule - I am not sure how often I want them.

Too often and I feel stifled - not enough and it’s always a mess.
