I'm sending flowers to a relative whose making a simcha. I'm not attending and would like to send flowers instead.

What can I write? Is it as written in the title?

Or is it only written when someone's out of town - (as in they're not home) and therefore can't attend the simcha?

What else can I write that's thoughtful?

I don’t know if it’s right or not, but that sounds perfect to me.

I wouldn't write that if you're in the same town.

Perhaps 'Sorry I won't share in your simcha but I will be with you in spirit' or 'I will drink a l'chaim and think of you'.

I'm an hour away 😃

But for some reason I don't prefer to write that. Looking for something else instead.

Hard to go wrong with " thinking of you" or "Mazal Tov, wish we could be there"

Well you need to add your name but otherwise that's perfect.

(It may sound obvious but people forget!)
