Did you try tightening the screw?

Can anyone describe exactly where the replacement gasket goes? I ordered it and put it around the bottom piece but it’s still leaking and I don’t know that I put it on correctly. A picture would be immensely helpful too. 😉

I’m away so can’t send a pic but I take mine apart all the time to clean all the pieces. u put the white circle gasket on first and then I put the white piece on top and other white piece on bottom and screw them together and it holds the gasket in place and then I put the metal cylinder shape piece that holds the hook in the center. does tht help?

Thanks so much for taking the time to explain. I am going to take it out tomorrow along with your explanation and hopefully be able to do it properly. I will let you know!

Mine is also leaking. I can't seem to unscrew the white piece at the bottom. I bought the gasket but can't put it in. Any ideas? I had no idea you see supposed to unscrew that part every time to clean. I tried soaking in soapy water for days. Didn't work.

Hi, I’m wondering if it’s at all possible for you to post a pic now- I don’t think I got it right.

So mine unscrewed and ew, I can’t believe I never realized that it comes off before. Happy it’s clean now but still unsure about the gasket placement.

Just an update and thanks to momma9, once it unscrewed and I reread your instructions I decided to just put the new gasket on before screwing the larger white piece back on and it’s not leaking so it seems to have done the trick. Thanks again.
happymommy6, try to just turn it without too much exertion- mine came right off.

Thanks for your reply!
How old is your machine. Mine is 21 years BH, used regularly and I had no idea it needs to come off to clean!
You turn the underneath white piece? Mine does not:(
I soaked it for a week in soap water and it won't budge:(

Mine is only a couple of years old but we’re talking about the challah bowl, right? If you turn the bowl over, the white circular piece on the bottom should just unscrew. If you’re in Brooklyn, Duddy’s told me I could bring in the bowl and they would do it. I was going to but I seem to have figured it out bH.
