I’m starting to think ds might have ADD, wondering what are some of the signs at this age? He’s barely 4. And what can be done to help at this age? His behavior is not difficult enough to warrant medication.

They don't separate ADD and ADHD anymore. I don't know where you're located but in NYC you can get him evaluated and possibly get him OT.

Hypothyroidism can mimic ADD and can often be hidden. I would run a complete thyroid panel.

I’m in nj. He’s had OT at different times in his life , didn’t see a difference.

Curious about this too

My ds is not focusing in class, gets distracted easily, doesn’t always respond to his name …
and has minor thyroid issues,

Also we’re not approved for OT for some reason, each evaluator has their own diagnosis.. but still hoping OT can help

High thyroid levels can cause add like symptoms. There are other things that can cause symptoms. That's why you shouldn't diagnose at such a young age
