Alright, now that we’ve got Rachael in the mix, and looks like she has the inside scoop on all things Mishpacha, do you know the answer to my original question?

In case Dov Haller sees this thread, I loved Rappaport 55. I gave it to my 12th grader to read and it made him excited to go to Bais Medrash.

Thank you for reminding me that Dov Haller writes books! I Googled, and just ordered one!

You're wondering about Dov Haller and Ruti Kepler?
So Ruti-her serials are translated from hebrew, it could be she has things in the works that will be translated soon ( already out in hebrew), but I'm really not in the know regarding the serials so can't say one way or the other. To my knowladge, she hasn't exited the fiction scene, but many writers do need time to fill up on life between serials.
Re Dov Haller- would love another Dov Haller serial! As others mentioned on the thread he is definitely still writing, it seems like he's focused on other writing right now, my hope is that he'll come out with some fiction soon, but I know nothing more. Pure speculation. I'm a big fan of his fiction!

House of Mirrors, it never became a book because it was only a mini serial. I keep thinking I'll compile all my short stories and novella's into a book one day but sigh....I'm lazy. And I appreicate all the nice pushing on this thread for more of my writing and the other Mishpacha writers! Love threads like this. Like others have mentioned, all the writers here are still around and writing, sometimes life gets busy so you see less of them, but I don't think anyone here has fully left the world of fiction. Sometimes we just need a push Wink

Consider yourself pushed! I would be thrilled to see more of your work. Thank you for all the wonderful fiction you've put out so far!

Thanks!! Yes, it was sad, but the writing was just so gorgoeous, and his strength was inspiring to me. Ora is a brilliant talent.
I guess here is a good place to say, I was also so inspired by that story, and I found myself being silent a few times instead of saying something that might be wrong because of it.

Can I go off topic on the thread to ask Rachel about submitting to Calligraphy? When do you start taking submissions and what's the word count? Does Mishpacha pay for the stories?

Anyone know if Etka Gitel Schwartz might do a book of the Civil War story? And the one about the bride who goes all the way to a western state? I would love to read those again.

The bride traveling west is out in a book called Full Harvest. https://www.shopeichlers.com/p.....bbz_3

Unless you mean the one where someone took the place of a bride and traveled to South Africa? That was called The Happiness Cipher if I remember correctly, and I haven't seen a book of it yet.
