I just want to say, at least in the US, that you should not eat anything made with Esrog
Since they are not produced as food to be eaten they do not need to follow regular guidelines regarding chemicals, and they are FULL of pesticides- like a ton. Especially because they are very prone to bugs and they want them in pristine condition. They are not safe to eat at all

Thanks so much for the information but
I live in Israel and have my own Esrog tree and I never sprayed the tree or the esrogim with anything and never saw a single insect on my esrogim so I would still need a recipe
