My 6 yr old started randomly clocking his tongue all the time. Is this a tic? Should I be doing anything avout?

Maybe. It can also be if his throat is itchy. Is it possible he has strep or a virus?

Sometimes it’s an allergy or post nasal drip, it’s a way of scratching an itchy throat. If that’s what it is I’d try to treat allergies asap, I know some people with that kind of clicking as a lifelong habit and it’s incredibly annoying

Transient tics are developmentally normal at this age. The more attention you call to it the worse it gets. Best thing is to ignore.

Check for strep.
See if ibuprophen makes it stop
