I tasted something at a party I attended and am trying to find the recipe for it now. No way to contact the person who made it, I don't know who she is at all. It was a cheesy sauce/dip with mushrooms which she had sitting in a fondue pot to keep it warm and melty. Near it she had roasted potato wedges which were meant to be dipped into the sauce and eaten. Heaven! It wasn't runny like you could pour/drizzle it over something. It was thick and gooey, you had to dip, and use the potato wedge to kinda scoop up the sauce.
Anybody have a delicious recipe like this? Mushrooms not a must, since some in my family don't like, but the rest actually love mushrooms. The one I tasted had mushrooms in it.
Thank you to anyone who can helpy craving!

Don’t have a recipe but sounds like a cheese dip served with nachos, why don’t you google that? Or use any sauce recipe for fettucini Alfredo…

I've never made a nachos type cheese dip, so I'm not sure if that's the texture I'm looking for. Maybe someone who has made that type of sauce can describe it for me
