Can you lower a flame on YT?

I’m sorry, maybe call a the ou and ask them what you should do.. or is there anyone else you can ask in your shul that ppl go to when your tab is away

Not to pasken but this is what we always did in my parents house growing up. Make an omelet (or scrambled eggs). That needs a low flame so you’d be allowed to lower the flame so the eggs don’t burn. Ofc this only applies if someone will afterwards eat the eggs.

However, I second everyone else that posted… ask a Rav to make sure.

You can't stam lower the flame but if you have something cooking on it and it needs a lower flame, you're allowed to lower it. If nothing is on the flame you can't lower it.
