Reminder to start drinking extra now. It does make a difference if you start drinking extra a few days ahead of time.

Or do the opposite

My DH fasts all week and by the time it’s YK it’s like second nature to not eat or drink all day

How did you drink? Was it all at once or slowly over a couple days and spread apart ?

I really don’t think this is a good idea. I used to barely eat and drink in general and while it’s true on YK itself it wasn’t so hard, I usually got sick the day after.

My experience has been that when I drink a lot for many days before, even for other reasons, like have a sore throat the week before so I'm drinking the whole week, I have a much easier fast. I might be more thirsty on the fast day, but I have more energy and feel less sick.
