I always eat leftover salmon for about a week. Is that really not safe? I’ve never had an issue, it tastes fine.

Or its too late? Most foods were made erev RH (wed) or were frozen and came out of freezer weds.
Last night we had a drop but still so much left. What do you all think? Would it still be good? Should I just smell/ taste each food...?

Yes.
We just had leftover lamb stew and some roasted chicken for dinner. I still have a piece of salmon left which will go to husband’s lunch tomorrow.
People throw out so much food nowadays. If you constantly throwing out leftovers, maybe you just need to cook less? 🤷‍♀️

I just had leftover potato kugel that was made Wednesday morning/afternoon. It did not hold up well and was not very good. I hope I won’t have any issues…

I’ve noticed that imamother tends toward the neurotic on food safety. If you use basic hygienic techniques such as refrigeration your food will be fine for quite a while. I plan on serving leftovers tomorrow. I’ve been serving Yom Tov leftovers for a good 3-4 days after the Yom Tov for years.
