I saw a recipe on Kosher.com using club steak. I don't think that is available in London.
Would anyone know if I can use an alternative piece of meat?

The recipe also uses A1 steak sauce which is quite expensive.
Has anyone used it and if yes was it worth the cost?

Thank you and enjoy all your cooking.

You can use another cut of meat. Which type of steaks do you have in the UK that are cooked low and slow until tender?

Also, just make your own sauce. What's your favorite? Mine is ketchup, brown sugar and orange juice.

This is how to make your own A1 sauce.

2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp ketchup
2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 Tbsp Frank's red hot sauce
1 tsp coarse ground dijon mustard
1 tsp honey
pinch of salt & pepper

Thank you for your suggestion but I don't know if side bola is equivalent to club steak.

I think that's shoulder London broil.

No I believe it’s more of a chuck or French roast but it’s cooked low and slow.
