I've never used tiktok but YouTube shorts is terrible. What a mind numbing way to spend my day. It's so addictive and it never ends. When I decide to watch a YouTube video, I have a sense of closure when it is done and I can easily turn off the app and go on with my day. Shorts never give that feeling that I'm done. I can be watching for an hour without ever seeing anything really worthwhile and without ever feeling ready to turn off the app.

Then youtube and whatsapp. Both have lots of value but can be abused easily.

Tiktok followed by Instagram followed by Twitter and Facebook (can't decide which is worse). I believe any person with regular self control can manage WhatsApp without being exposed to something they don't want to be exposed to, the same can't be said of the others. I didn't include linkedin because I hate it but not because of those reasons - just because it's filled with fake professionalism and I prefer more honey, down to earth communication.

TikTok is a Chinese company and downloading and using TikTok means you sign on privacy clauses that has access to personal user information to be used by the company. It also is used to disseminate a lot of propaganda.
