I did a freezer inventory in advance of Rosh HaShana and I have a few questions:
I have 3 dairy tupperwares - one from 5/22, one from 8/22 and the other with no date but probably also from 5/22.
It's orzo, plain macaroni, and farro.
In a stand alone freezer.
Is this safe or should I discard?
Plus I have a tupperware with chicken and another tuperware with sweet carrots - one from 4/23 and one from 7/23.
Would you keep these or discard?
thanks

I’d definitely throw out the pasta orzo and farro. Carrots too. Those are cheap items I wouldn’t really bother ever freezing.
Chicken would be the only thing I’d maybe keep.

Same. The chicken might not have a great texture, I would keep if it was difficult for me to buy new: otherwise I would throw it as well.

Thanks!
So basically more than one year you would all throw out?
I also have some zucchini soup from 4/23
and
I have some lamb stew from last succos.
Those are the oldest things I think.
I guess from last succos is ok cuz it's just under a year?

Maybe it's just me but I don't like how anything tastes past maybe 8-9 months. That would be my cutoff.

depends on the item, depends what I want to use it for, depends how it was wrapped, depends how it looks/smells, depends how long it was out or how close to expiration before freezing

If it stays frozen solid the whole time, then the issue is mainly taste/texture/quality, not health/safety

Depends on your freezer.
I had soup in my freezer that was almost a year old and tasted perfect last week. And my regular freezer after two weeks it’s no good.

Which freezer is good?

3 months in the small freezer (on top of the fridge), and 6 months in the large stand-alone freezer.
Don’t you all empty those out for Pesach anyway?

Thanks everyone!
This was in the chart from NechaMom:
Remember that frozen foods are safe indefinitely, so the following guidelines for freezer food refer to food quality, not safety.
*but it also said that a lot depends on how long you had it in the fridge before freezing.

I always thought there was a limit on how long you can keep chicken and meat in the freezer but maybe that’s specifically raw. Personally I’d throw it all out.

if you have room, keep them through tishrei. with all the 3 day yomim toivim coming up, you might need emergency food.
