How do I roast a silver tip roast? Looking to do it dry roasted like a rib roast. I probably need a good spice rub, and I’d love precise timing and temperature instructions, if anyone has done this successfully. Thanks!

I like silver tip medium rare.
It’s a lean meat and meats that are lean taste best at medium rare
I usually sous vide it and make dipping sauces to serve with it.( which is why I didn’t answer right away)
Do you have a meat thermometer?
Because if yes you can bake it and check the internal temperature

I agree that a dry rub will be best

I do have a meat thermometer. I don’t have a sous vide.

Can medium well also be good?

IMO medium well may as well be burnt. With rare/medium rare the meat stays juicy and has a lot of flavor, as well as great texture

I cut my roast into smaller filets so it’s easier to cook evenly

I wouldn’t do medium well with silver tip
But would do medium
If your family won’t eat medium and you do medium well I would make sure to cut very thin.
