Please ladies,

My trusty old food processor of many years died.

I need a food processor that can grate 5 lbs of potatoes for a kugel in one shot.

Not leaving clumps of potatoes half Chopped.

Easy to use and clean, and a great price helps too. I prefer to purchase on line.

Links please?

Huh? The classic Braun can hold more than 5 lbs.
9 loose potatoes, though, are about 5 lbs. I believe

The braun is total hype. Look around for another brand that can hold that size. I have the braun and have a different brand yet smaller one for pesach and dont see whats so amazing about the braun. I anyway make more than 5 lbs at a time so the size doesnt make such a difference to me.

Braun holds 5 pounds. I have two of them for the past 15 years. Replaced the bowl once.

I have the Braun and it easily does 5 lb potato. Without oil and eggs. I really like it.

I had the Bosch attachment for my mixer once and hated it!! Pushing the potatos through was impossible.

I also once bought a cheaper food processor and it made a good potato kugel but cracked the first time I tried to blend frozen fruit.

You have the smaller one for pesach so maybe that's why it didn't break down yet.

I use my food processor on a weekly and sometimes daily basis.
It diligently blends ices and doughs and heavy duty recipes and it lasts for years.

I don't think any other processor holds up like this unless its the same price range.

It's also a great model based on the reviews I read online but it is more expensive than the Braun.

I am curious if it has more power than the Braun.
