I like fluffy spongy cakes
My grandmother used to make fluffy cake with cocoa that we called brownie cake. It was a large recipe, filling up a 10x16 "cake" pan.
It didn't have a moist, chocolatey texture like most recipes I found.

Anyone can help me find something like that?

Chocolate cake (brownies are thick and fudgy).
This is moist, light texture and chocolaty. Really delicious. Frosting is optional. I make it without more than half the time.

I've made this recipe before but this is not what I'm looking for.
GM cake was airy and fluffy, not moist and chocolatey.

The Hershey cake has very few eggs according to what I remember. I don't have the original recipe but I know that the eggs were separated.

Sounds like you're describing a standard chocolate cake.
The Hershey's recipe is the best, hands down.
