There's sugar in so many recipes!
Please share any of your yummy healthy recipes, main, side or desserts !!!
No sugar(or very minimal for baked goods)
No sweet sauces (no ketchup no teriyaki, no duck sauce...)
Minimal oils
I'll share one of my tricks: on yom Tov, I start every meal with soup (chicken or vegetables)for night meal or big salad for day meal!
Roast: I put in lots of onions, garlic, spices, red wine and carrots and cook in oven for a long time!

No I don't.
Her recipes, that I usually see in magazines, have a lot of weird healthy ingredients. Does she also have recipes with regular common in ing?
Can you post "the recipe" you like best from her cookbook?

Roasted tomatoes and red onions with herbs make a nice condiment for chicken or meat when hot and a great relish when cold.

I made leek soup so far. Sweat an onion with a touch of salt til translucent. Add tons of chopped leeks, white parts cut long way in half, chopped, separated & soaked to wash off dirt. Add cubed potatoes. I threw in some chopped fresh herbs & garlic. Blend extra well to make smooth after & added s&p, and a little evoo.
Made sourdough, mini loaves.

I don't use any refined sugar in my cooking or baking.
I do use minimal amounts of 100% fruit jam, silan, wine, coconut aminos, maple syrup and honey.
My whole yt is made this way.
Examples:
Silan brisket from the above mentioned rorie's cookbook:
Sprinkle brisket with salt and pepper. Sautee 2 sliced onions, place over brisket. Mix 1 cup chicken stock, half cup silan and half cup wine, pour over roast. Cover tightly and bake @ 300 for 5-6 hours.

I dont know if you want sugar free or also carb free but here goes...
For dips I have a fee with zero mayo or sugar
- fried onion mixed with broiled eggplant...salt, pepper and lemon juice and hand blend.
-matbucha, cook diced tomatoes with hot pepper and broiled colored peppers and lots of garlic and cook for hours on low flame...salt and pepper
-techinah
-chummous
-you can do olive dip without mayo/sugar
I second veggie soups and big chicken soups.
- salads, your best bet is fresh with a little oil, fresh lemon and veggies
...hearts of palm salad, avacado and cherry tomatoes
Corn salad
Roasted chickpeas and spices
I do lots of bbq meat, with just salt and pepper
Rosemary Chicken stuffed with rice and veggies
Breaded chicken
Also shwqrma spice chicken or cutlets
Also chicken cutlets/pastrami rollups
There is an oniony, soy sauce, herbs chicken that I used to make that was delish.
Side is that arent carby,
green beans with fried onions and spices,
Cauliflower popcorn (turmeric etc)
Roasted broccoli
Mushroom onion quiche (with or without the crust)
Also broccoli quiche (with or without crust)
Roasted mini peppers with oo and spices
Basically lots and lots of ideas...
Nothing above has an ounce of sugar...
Dessert is a tough one but cut up melon always is a hit
If I want to splurge I puree frozen strawberries and pour it over vanilla ice cream and top it with fresh cut strawberries and nuts

You can skip the sugar in most of the recipes. I do.
Here is a delicious meat sauce, I use it over any meat that can cook low and slow:
5 garlic cloves chopped
2 sweet onions, diced
1 celery stalk, diced
1 carrot, diced
Sautee
Pour over meat, and add:
1 cup stock
1 cups wine
4 bag leaves
Best to braise the meat first (but I sometimes skip) and sprinkle salt and pepper over it.
Cook low and slow. (I do it in the crockpot for a few hours)
Suttfed cabbage inspired meat:
5 lb brisket
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
15 oz can tomato sauce
Salt and pepper
A bit of water
I baked it on 350 for 3 hours approx in a dutch oven. But regular pan should also work.
Healthier fruit crumble:
https://www.eatingbirdfood.com.....-two/
I sometimes make it with plums and pistachios (instead of the almonds)
There are lots and lots of delicious healthy options out there.
You just need to learn to start cooking healthier. It's a learning curve, and I'm still on the journey.

It's very sweet but it's unrefined, lower glycemic and contains nutrients.

We love fresh corn on the cob. Boiled for a few minutes and eaten plain.
I make hearty vegetable soups with sautéed onions and garlic, canned beans (chickpeas or white beans), carrot, tomatoes, and a few diced potatoes. You can add some meat or even a few diced sausages if you want. I keep them pareve or dairy with a sprinkling of shredded Parmesan.
Fall salad with arugula, diced apples, pomegranate seeds, hazelnuts or pecans, and craisins. Dressed with olive oil, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, a splash of apple cider, and if you choose, a few teaspoons of honey.

For dips. I don't usually bother, but enjoy.
Chummus
Tehina
Chicken
I bake with spices. Usually the Mrs Dash garlic seasoning, paprika, and a tiny of bit of wine or juice or soup stock.
Baked/roasted veggies.
Brown rice.
Cut up fruit in season, or fruit salad if you want to get fancy. Dress the fruit salad with a splash of citrus juice.
