My toddler had (what appears to be) chickenpox over yom tov. The symptoms are mostly gone. I really want it to be in her medical records. What do I do?
(Btw I was almost certain she had the vaccine as she’s completely up to date, but whatever, I’ll check that up when I get the chance.)

Why do you want it in her records?
You can take her to the doctor and say she had chickenpox. Every visit is recorded in her records

So that she doesn’t have to take the second varicella shot. Is it enough that I just mention it at the next visit? Don’t need a doctor to diagnose?

I had the same thing so I made pictures and emailed them to the doctor’s office. They had me do a virtual appointment.

If child had chicken pox over Yom tov should still be scabs to show doctor. Otherwise have doctor take blood to show resent levels.
If you don't prove it now you'll be stuck later

Go to the doctor now they will tell you if the scabs are chicken pox and put it in the records.

Do you have any evidence left? A pimple or a scar?

Wow I never had to prove anything
But we don't vaccinate for it here they prefer that you catch it before puberty

I just go a blood test for my 17 year old daughter. She had chicken pox when very small but no records, the blood test showed she has had chicken pox.

The blood test will prove it at any age. I had it when I was 6 and it showed up on a recent blood panel (in my 30s)

Dr may not trust you but you could always run a blood test for titters to see if your child has sufficient antibodies to be considered immune. Good luck

Go now to the doctor. They see it and put it in the record. If you think they won't want you to bring her into the office, call and tell them your child had chicken pox, how can you get it documented in her record? When my dc had it, they told me to stay in the car and the doctor came out to the car.
