Rutabaga I'm amazed at your near perfect score on this entire thread . Do you not make a guess until all 4 categories match up? Because I hardly ever see a mistake by you and so often there can be more than one option of a group unless you make sure you got all four completed before your first guess.

I find the strands game not challenging since you can have 100 guesses and you get the same good score as someone who did it without any mistakes. They should've given a limit to how many mistakes you can have so it would be more fun. But with connections I'm amazed when someone gets almost every game perfect I've had a few perfect but mostly not.

I try to figure out at least 2 categories before actually guessing them so I don't fall into any obvious traps.
My secret to success for strands is that I take a screenshot and mark it up trying to find all the words until I figure out the spangram if I don't chap it immediately.

It's funny I thought you might work with a pen as a scrap paper and only do the actual puzzle once you got it so no room for mistakes.
So I'm not all wrong. OK I'll try to use your trick with figuring out 2 categories before my first guess.
