Obviously for guests you usually make/buy more. But on a regular shabbos, what do you serve? Is it homemade or store bought?

I make techina and buy chummus sometimes but most weeks it's just techina

Homemade hummus
Homemade matbucha
^^ these both freeze well, so I’ll make large batches and not have to make them every week. It’s pretty much guaranteed that I’ll serve these

Homemade “arabish” (pureed fresh tomatoes with garlic, salt, pepper and olive oil)
Homemade roasted pepper dip (roasted bell peppers/onions/garlic with balsamic vinegar, puréed to make a spread)
Homemade olive dip (canned green olives, puréed with lemon juice, spices and a few tbsp mayonnaise - it’s strong and lasts a while in the fridge)
^^ less frequent, but made often enough, like I’ll make of these to supplement the “regulars” if I have time

All our dips are healthy/nutrient dense, we have a 2 slice of challah per kid rule, and they have to eat some fish.

Tomato dip made with evoo
Garlic confit with avo oil and topped off with evoo after roasting
Hummus-clean ingredients only
Eggplant carpaccio -- eggplant, silan, Tahini paste
Olive tapenade
Babaganoush
Matbucha
Maple bourbon onion dip -- mostly just fried onions with a smidge of healthy mayo

I typically buy 2 dips a week one mayo based and one not mayo based. Often its Olive and Tomato. If I have avocados that are soft enough we make guacamole, sometimes I make techina.

I also like to make marinated eggplant that you can eat on challah or just with a fork.
