I had a TracFone I got cheap with a talk and text only plan for my kids. Tag said they can't filter it and the school is very strict about tag filtering so I need a new phone. The ones from the kosher phone companies are so much more than I expected to spend. Any ideas?

Thanks. It says locked to TracFone, how much does the plan cost? I don't think a prepaid phone alone would be enough for my very social tweens.

If you go on the tag website and go to basic phones it goes through each model that they can tag and what carrier it goes with. You can search for those models online. Many are even unlocked to all carriers.

I have purchased cat phones from bsdphones.com in lakewood. They knock out the hardware and put in only what you order. I can not pay the "kosher phone "options. This has lasted longer for us than any other phones we purchased and tagged. No it doesn't have a specific hechsher on it but it is impossible to get any browser or any apps you didn't purchase it with (I do talk only for kids). My schools have seen it and realize that it meats total "kosher " standards-within my budget.
