The our pastry dough was very sticky so I wrapped all the hot dogs and froze them whole, not sliced, Thinking that I will get to it in a few minutes once they’re cold and slice them then, bake and freeze. I completely forgot about it and now they’re frozen. Can I defrost, slice, bake and then freeze them again?
I do it this way so on yom tov it’s easier to warm up as they’re already baked

I don’t see why not?
Just defrost slightly so it cuts.
Why did you freeze it after you wrapped it?

Because the puff pastry defrosted too much and was so sticky and hard to work with
Tried cutting it and was a mess!

Oh, I would have thought that wrapping would be the difficult part
I’ve had the dough defrost too much so I put it back in the freezer for 1/2 hour. It was too sticky to work with.
I’m sure it will bake fine and reheat well too.
