I like using puff pastry squares. You can either do the mini squares or use the bigger squares and cut each in 4.
Use either the mini cocktail franks, or take a hot dog and cut it in 4.

Smear the puff pastry with a mixture of ketchup and mustard.
Roll the square around the frank, stretching it slightly as needed to fit. Press the edges together to seal.

Place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, seam side down. Repeat with remaining puff pastry and franks. Bake about 30-40 minutes till golden and puffy.

I make a bunch of these and freeze in a container raw. I pop them in the oven on a YT (if my oven is on a lower setting I bake longer.) It's a great afternoon snack. Always goes.

You take 2 puff pastry squares and attach it together
Place hot dog on the bottom.. you can add any sauce or mustard.. roll up jelly style.. cut into pieces that you’d like.. place on a greased sheet..
bake at 375 until golden brown..
enjoy..
If theirs leftovers, they freeze beautifully..
enjoy

I actually get the mini squares. Cut hot dogs in half. Use one square per half. Make sure the seam is well sealed and put on bottom.

Shmear with egg wash and sesame if you want.

My kids don't like ketchup or mustard, so I just buy the precut large puff pastry squares (10 squares in a pack), place a hot dog on each one, roll it up, and slice. Would taste even better if you make your own dough. Use a knish dough recipe and roll it out.

Also, you can try this
