The ad is in very poor taste but the point of advertising is that people should talk about it so they were successful! A whole thread talking about it! Look at how many ppl didn't see the ad but will go look at it now!
I guess time will tell if they get more or less business as a result!

The point of advertising is also not to push away a number of your readers. This ad wouldn't get me there. It would actually make me look elsewhere, and others agree.

A bit more subtle in the optics.

I find it offensive. Not sure if I can express myself properly, but being compared to an animal with a full body covering of fur just has me cringing. We may have a thin layer of hair that we would like to remove from certain places, but we aren't a sheep that needs its coat removed at intervals.

I hold my body in a better light than being compared to an animal (or patch of grass for that matter).

Besides, if I would want to select a place to get hair removal, I would choose one that promotes a relaxing environment than one that suggests being shorn like a sheep.

And why should anyone have to be confronted with images that make women look like something who need their hair removed? So many discomfiting angles.

100%.

An ad is not a story, to make people talk.
Its meant to encourage more customers.

Doesnt do that for me.

And my apologies to the copywriter and designer. I would usually do this privately, write directly to the magazine, etc. But there is more here to discuss than just the ad.

I honestly think referencing a woman's intimate bush is inappropriate in a public ad.

And I am the furthest thing from a prude.

Why is that what you think it's referencing? That's not what it makes me think of
I don't get it. Women get laser for all areas.

They're referencing a women's entire body, all area's. Which is just weird & inappropriate. Instead of a naked hairy women, they used a sheep.

its the reference.

the only part on the body that is bushy like a sheep is that area.

maybe it wasnt the intention but it is definitely the imagery for this particular animal

what's ironic to me is that laser on an animal is abusive and unacceptable. call PETA stat.

on a human? let's charge 1000's of dollars. pain? oh that's ok, no pain no gain...

idk the point of my post just a funny thought I had.

Successful ad, it got you talking, perhaps you are the business owners sister. There actually have been trials of laser on sheep
