Here are some ideas I have heard of:

Sticky toffee pudding made with dates.

Lettuce, raisin and celery salad (let us have a raise in salary)

Carrots and leek in the chicken soup

Jelly fish

Shnitzel (she'nitzel - we should be saved from our enemies)

Fanta for a fantastic year
